Deck the Halls

This Christmas season has been so fun so far. We have been truly enjoying several of our seasonal traditions and with the kids ages it has been so easy to get into the spirit. They are so enamored with the smallest and simplest things of Christmas - I know this won't always be the case so I am truly treasuring every minute. We always get our Christmas tree up and decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving, and while we had just returned from our trip to Southern Cal. we weren't going to let that impact our family's tradition. We got the tree up, made hot chocolate, got out the decorations, put on the Christmas music and had a blast decorating the tree. Esmerelda was so excited - she took out each decoration from the box and would say, "oh mom, this one is so special!" or "oh mom, I love this one!" Then she would say, "Joseph, here's one for you" as she held up Daddy's Lionel train ornament collection. Joseph loved the train ornaments and took each of them one by one (about 15) to his room to put on his train track instead of the tree. They each decorated their own little tree for their room as well. What a fun evening!

All the Christmas pix and Disneyland pix are great! We have that same "Scratch art" angel (that is hanging above Joseph's head) on our tree. :-)
