Joseph turns 2 years old!

I can't believe my baby has been in this world for two years already - where has time gone. Well along with the tantrums, new found independence and unreasonable fears (especially his fear of the Michelin tire man), the most telling sign that he is indeed 2 yrs. old is that he loves Thomas the Train. So we were definitely going to have an all out Thomas party (which included staying up until midnight to make railroad signs).

My grandma, cousin Evelyn and Aunt Lainey were in town for the affair; and along with Nana, Papa and the Romines we had a great time.

It was a bit of a warm day so the kids decided to get wet. Joseph had fun splashing in the pool with his sister and cousin Maddie. His cake was adorable with a little wind-up train on top. Joseph blew out his candle on his cake while Papa got nailed with silly string from Uncle Dan.

We topped off the party with our pinata tradition and the rest of the time Joseph spent eating and picking up "Nerds" in the grass.
