Summer evening fun

One of our favorite family activities in the summer is to ride our bikes from our home down to the river after dinner. Along the way we have a few "friends" to visit. We always stop at a home that has a large Emu and a billy goat in their front yard and across the street is a beautiful horse. The kids love to see the animals and pet the horse. The Emu loves visitors and always comes out of hiding to see us and peck at the kids' window on their bike trailer.

Once we get to the river, the remainder of the time is spent finding and throwing rocks until the sun goes down. Joseph seems to have a natural aptitude for the shot put.

Ahhhh, the simple pleasures of a two and three year old!
